Osborne Clarke has advised SPIE, one of the leading multi-technical service providers for buildings, plants and infrastructure in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, on its acquisition of 89 % of PIK AG.
The Berlin-based company PIK integrates and services complex audiovisual systems for conference, lecture and concert halls, primarily in northern and eastern Germany. It covers the entire project cycle, from planning and management through installation and commissioning to service, maintenance and operation, including lighting technology. With around 170 employees and revenues of approximately EUR 42 million in the 2024 financial year, the company has achieved steady organic growth and maintains a solid customer base.
By acquiring 89 % of the shares in PIK AG, SPIE is strengthening its position in media technology and related service models. “With a strong presence in this exciting market environment, high technical expertise, and a broad customer portfolio, we are deliberately strengthening our position in the field of audiovisual systems and related service models. We look forward to shaping the future together with the entire PIK team and driving the company’s successful development alongside the experienced management team,” said Markus Holzke, Managing Director/CEO of SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria.
SPIE acquires 89 % of the shares in PIK AG; the remaining 11 % will be held by the previous owner and the management team. The agreement includes a put and call option over these remaining shares.
