Published on 19th March 2026
Osborne Clarke advised Grant Thornton, an international group supporting companies and public institutions with their audit, advisory, transformation and performance-related challenges, on the integration of DPO Consulting, a firm specialised in personal data protection. DPO Consulting also advises on new regulatory requirements related to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, including the AI Act, NIS2 and DORA.
This transaction forms part of Grant Thornton’s growth and development strategy, with the integration of a team of 43 experts aimed at strengthening the capabilities in personal data protection and data management already present within Grant Thornton’s Advisory practice.
This complementary expertise will enable Grant Thornton to provide increasingly comprehensive support to large corporates, mid-sized companies and high-growth SMEs facing rapidly evolving technological and regulatory challenges.
The transaction is also the first completed since the end-2025 combination with Grant Thornton Advisors, the first fully integrated multidisciplinary group operating on a global scale.
