Dorothée heads the tax practice of Osborne Clarke’s Paris office and has almost 20 years’ experience in tax law. She advises French and international companies on domestic and cross‑border tax matters, including group restructurings, project financings, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, management incentive schemes, assistance with tax audits and the conduct of tax disputes.

Drawing on her strong knowledge of the asset management industry, Dorothée has developed significant expertise in the tax structuring of investment funds (private equity, venture capital, debt and infrastructure).

She also advises on indirect tax (in particular VAT), as well as on the taxation of digital businesses and innovation. In this context, she assists scale‑ups, digital platforms, SaaS providers, fintechs and innovative industrial groups with the tax structuring of their business models (marketplaces, subscription models, data monetisation, IP), and with the implementation and securing of preferential regimes such as the French R&D tax credit (CIR), the innovation tax credit (CII), the IP box regime and, where relevant, the French “young innovative company” regimes (JEI/JEIC/JEII).

Dorothée also regularly assists private clients (business leaders, fund management teams, shareholders, trustees, high‑net‑worth individuals and internationally mobile employees) with the structuring of their French and foreign income and assets, as well as in connection with tax audits and disputes with the French tax authorities.

Before qualifying as a lawyer, Dorothée worked as a tax specialist. She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2008. She holds a Master’s degree in Tax Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon‑Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Business Law and Taxation from the University of Toulouse I.

Dorothée Chambon is a brilliant lawyer, passionate about her field. She is extremely dedicated to her cases and always tries to find solutions for her clients. She is realistic about the issues but pragmatic, which is very reassuring for clients

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

In the context of profound changes to the tax landscape, driven by the digitalisation of business models and successive reforms at French, European and international level, I act as a genuine partner to my clients. My practice is built on a pragmatic, operational approach to tax rules and a 360‑degree view of the issues that arise before, during and after transactions. My aim is to help clients anticipate these developments, translate them into concrete and secure decisions, and use tax as a driver of strategy and performance rather than as a mere constraint.
