Osborne Clarke has advised Grant Thornton France on its transfer to Grant Thornton Advisors, an international alliance of consulting, audit and accounting firms established in 2024 by the private equity fund New Mountain Capital.

Through this transaction, Grant Thornton France’s 2,800 professionals, spread across 24 offices in France, are joining one of the world’s largest platforms for business advisory and professional services. French partners who join the international alliance will hold a minority stake alongside partners from other participating countries, while New Mountain Capital retains a majority interest.

In a consulting market undergoing profound transformation, particularly with the acceleration of AI deployment, this transaction aims to drive the growth of the brand across Europe and to pool investments to ensure innovation and performance at the highest level.

Grant Thornton Advisors already brings together firms in the United States, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates, representing a task force of more than 165,000 professionals in audit and consulting. The Spanish and Belgian firms will also join the international alliance.

This consolidation marks a landmark development in the advisory and audit sector and reflects the strong ambition of all professionals operating under the Grant Thornton Advisors brand.
