Julian Baldus primarily advises national and international companies on M&A transactions, restructurings, corporate finance matters and all aspects of general corporate law. A particular focus of his practice lies in M&A transactions in the technology, media and communications (TMC) as well as in the automotive and infrarstructure.

For several years, Julian has headed the “Sports” working group at Osborne Clarke’s German offices. In this role, he promotes and organises internal sports-related activities for colleagues at the German offices and helps to develop and implement a variety of sports initiatives locally. At the same time, within this working group he is actively seeking to expand and deepen the firm’s advice to clients in the sports industry.

During his law studies in Trier and Bonn, Julian worked as a research assistant in tax and business law at a renowned commercial law firm. After his first state examination, he gained practical experience at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, where he was involved, inter alia, in the drafting of ordinances.

Already during his legal traineeship, Julian published several articles in legal journals. He has consistently continued this academic publishing activity, in particular with specialist articles on the intersection of corporate law and the sports sector. His contributions have appeared, among others, in renowned journals such as “SpuRt – Zeitschrift für Sport und Recht”, “SpoPrax – Zeitschrift für Sport und Praxis” and other leading specialist magazines.
