Florian Merkle
Florian provides expert guidance to companies on all aspects of national and international tax law.
His practice specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), restructuring, tax planning, optimising the tax implications of cross-border investments, implementing tax-efficient structures and developing bespoke solutions to minimise tax risks.
He joined Osborne Clarke's Cologne office in January 2017 and was later that year also admitted as a tax advisor. Drawing on his experience and in-depth expertise, he assists companies in legally and economically structuring their tax practices and matters, always considering the individual needs of his clients and developing bespoke solutions for complex tax law issues. His team is based in Cologne and Munich.
Florian completed his law studies in Konstanz, Lausanne and Munich. He began his career in the financial services team of a Big Four accounting firm in 2012. In 2013, he transitioned to the M&A tax team, where he specialised in advising private equity firms on the tax implications of acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and restructurings.
