Osborne Clarke advises Sdui on Series B funding round

Osborne Clarke has advised Sdui GmbH, a leading European provider of cloud-based administrative software for educational institutions, on its successful Series B funding round. This week, the round was closed under the leadership of a significant new investor.

Founded in Germany in 2018, Sdui GmbH offers a suite that supports schools in administrative matters such as communication, attendance, scheduling, and grading. Today, Sdui serves thousands of institutions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Spain and continues to expand into new regions. The company is based in Koblenz and currently employs around 230 staff across several European countries.

Now, Sdui has successfully completed its Series B funding round under the leadership of a renowned new investor: Led by Bain Capital's Tech Opportunities Fund and with participation from existing investors such as HV Capital and the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), capital was raised to strengthen the product portfolio, deepen support for educational institutions and pursue the company's goal of becoming the unified digital platform for education in Europe.

Osborne Clarke has previously advised Sdui on its dynamic growth; the team that supported Sdui in this round, led by Dr Jana Bertus and Dr Benjamin Monheim (Partner responsibility) (both Corporate / VC), consisted of Florian Merkle, Patrick Seiler (both tax), Dr Sebastian Hack, Marco Aatz and Susanne Schricker (all competition).
