Olexiy Oleshchuk advises financial institutions, funds as well as corporations in the areas of banking and finance law as well as restructuring and insolvency.

In addition, he advises clients on financing via the capital market, e.g. on the issuance of bonds and other debt instruments as well as on the restructuring of corresponding instruments. Olexiy also has specific know-how and experience in advising on (financing) transactions and litigation in connection with CIS countries, in particular Ukraine and Russia.

Olexiy regularly advises a leading German asset manager on infrastructure and renewable energy project financings. In addition, he has been involved in major financial restructurings and distressed M&A transactions in the retail, automotive and real estate sectors in the past. Finally, he advises lenders as well as young companies in venture debt transactions.

Olexiy studied in Düsseldorf. During his traineeship, he worked for Freshfields, Bruckhaus, Deringer, Clifford Chance and the German Embassy in Moscow. Before joining Osborne Clarke, his career took him from Latham & Watkins to Hogan Lovells and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.
