Osborne Clarke advises Audentra Group: LAIRM CONSULT becomes part of the House of Experts

Osborne Clarke has provided comprehensive legal advice to Audentra Group GmbH on LAIRM CONSULT GmbH joining the group. The engineering consultancy for acoustics, air quality and pollution control based in Bargteheide near Hamburg has been a new partner in the “House of Experts” since 31 August 2026. 

For Audentra, this means new synergies within the house and a location in northern Germany. For LAIRM CONSULT, it means a settled succession in which name, team and management remain.

LAIRM CONSULT has supported construction projects and approval procedures since 2004 with forecasts, measurements and expert reports. Its services include building and room acoustics, noise measurements, and air pollutant and odour forecasts. The consultancy operates its own measuring equipment, is an officially recognised measuring body under Section 29b of the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) and a DAkkS-accredited testing laboratory. Its team of 17 works from Bargteheide for construction project owners, property developers, local authorities and commercial businesses throughout Germany.

Audentra is a community of independent engineering and expert consultancies in testing, expert assessment and compliance – the “House of Experts”. Each partner company keeps its name, team and client relationships and runs its own business. Administration, IT and insurance are organised jointly by the group, which relieves the individual firms and frees up time for client projects. Added to this is the exchange of expertise within the house: with acoustics and pollution control, LAIRM CONSULT ties in directly with the work of other partner companies, for instance around construction projects and approval procedures, and thus opens up synergies that benefit the clients of everyone involved.

For founders Björn Heichen and Dr Bernd Burandt, the step settles the succession of the firm they built up over 22 years: Björn Heichen remains managing director, while Dr Bernd Burandt will focus on project work as senior consultant. Name, location, team and contacts remain unchanged, and ongoing projects continue as agreed.
