Ken Wilkinson
Ken Wilkinson is a partner at Osborne Clarke's London office, leading a growing group of expert Corporate lawyers.
With almost twenty years' experience advising on transactions in the Media & Entertainment and Technology sectors, he has a deep understanding of his clients' business needs and goals. He leads a senior-led, relationship-driven practice, which enables him to deliver commercially-focused advice with pace and cohesion.
He is active in the UK marketing, digital content and social media, broadcasting, post-production, VFX, animation, AI, SaaS and wider digital content sectors, with broad experience across the whole of the Media and Tech space.
He advises large corporate clients on matters ranging from merger and acquisition expansion strategies to strategic joint ventures, group reorganisations and structuring, and other corporate and governance matters. He also regularly supports all of entrepreneurs, founders and management teams, working alongside corporate finance and other advisers to achieve the best exit outcomes.
He acts for innovative and high-growth companies from their inception and early stages, throughout their seed, venture and growth capital fundraisers, to exit. The majority of his work is in the UK mid-market, though Ken advises on transactions of all sizes, with clients ranging from start-ups to household-name multinational corporations, and from angel to institutional investors.
He has expertise in international growth strategies across the globe, including buy-and-build, joint venture, and strategic investment. He often advises on multi-jurisdictional transactions, particularly between the US and the UK (often acting for US buyers and US sellers).
Ken is a noted technical expert; with his pragmatic, user-friendly, and commercially-focused advice being hugely appreciated by clients. He believes in a partner-led approach, ensuring clients have the appropriate level of support at all times to achieve the best outcomes.
I'm deeply immersed in the sectors I advise, and have always aimed to work in sectors in which I'm personally interested. This helps me to really understand my clients' businesses.
I champion the support and promotion of junior members of the team, and act as a mentor both within OC and in relation to OC's diversity and inclusion programmes.
