Infrastructure and energy sector Partner Nigel Drew joins Osborne Clarke
A project finance specialist with considerable experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, Nigel brings expertise in serving leading lenders and sponsors – in particular those active in the African and other emerging markets. He has acted for commercial banks and DFIs, and for project companies and investors, on ECA and MIGA covered financings for projects ranging from power (renewable, including wind, solar, hydro, and thermal) through to transport infrastructure (roads, rail and airports).
James Watson, Partner and international head of the Energy and Utilities Sector at Osborne Clarke, said: “In addition to his strong energy and water experience in Africa, Nigel has advised on some of the biggest infrastructure projects across Europe. He will be a great asset for our team and international clients. We have a core team of project finance lawyers and Nigel’s appointment will add further strength and breadth as he brings wealth of experience in the African market and the international energy sector. He will work closely with UK Partners Omar Al-Nuaimi, Jakub Kubicki, Alistair Curzon, Simon Hancock, and Andrew Normington as well as a number of additional fee earners in the UK and internationally that have considerable project finance experience.”
