Osborne Clarke in Reading has been recognised for its Technology, Media and Telecoms expertise at the UK Legal 500 UK Awards. The international legal practice, which has offices in Forbury Place, Reading, was awarded TMT - Firm of the Year (outside London).
Recognising the best private practice teams and individuals, The Legal 500 Awards are based on comprehensive research into the UK legal market. Legal 500 researchers conducted over 50,000 interviews in the past 12 months to decide the winners.

In the past year, high profile TMT deals Reading-based lawyers from the practice have advised on include Vonage's $350M acquisition of NewVoiceMedia, the £25M Community Fibre financing round led by NDIF and Finantix's investment from Motive Partners.
The Reading team is also working with Hampshire-based supplier of business-to-business communications products and services, Southern Communications, on multiple transactions, from funding arrangements to acquisitions. Commercial advice is also provided on a range innovative projects, strategic alliances and joint ventures undertaken by technology and telecoms businesses (including Cambridge Display Technology, SMART Technologies and Vodafone).
In addition, the team advises clients in other sectors who are undertaking digital transformations in today's world of technology, from the launch of innovative online retail sites, machine learning technology to assist with application system integration, omni-channel contact centre solutions based in the cloud and the use of innovative online portals to assist businesses with their day-to-day operational and HR requirements.
On the people front, the office has recently bolstered its commercial offering in Reading with the appointment of Legal Director Anna Williams as team leader.
