Shilun is a trusted Singapore-qualified counsel with deep sector expertise across banking and financial services, payments and fintech, and media and entertainment.

His core practice lies in derivatives, structured products and secured lending, together with emerging payment, digital asset and technology-driven business models. He acts for regulated financial institutions, fintech and Web3 businesses, and media and creative-industry clients across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region, with a particular niche in acting for Chinese clients and conducting legal matters in Mandarin.

Prior to joining Osborne Clarke, Shilun served as General Counsel of two regulated financial institutions in Singapore and previously practised as legal counsel in the global markets division of a leading international investment bank. His banking and finance expertise covers futures, commodities and derivatives businesses, equity and index-linked products, and prime services. He specialises in drafting and negotiating trading documentation such as ISDAs, GMSLAs and GMRAs, as well as documentation for margin and collateral arrangements, credit facilities, prime brokerage and corporate loans across the Asia-Pacific region.

Across the payments and fintech sector, Shilun advises on credit card issuance, merchant acquiring, embedded finance and crypto-linked payment solutions, including licensing, product structuring and AML/CFT obligations. He has experience with stablecoin and digital tokens, Web3 payment partnerships and API-driven platform models.

In the media and entertainment space, Shilun acts for several marketing and advertising agencies, as well as individual content creators and talents. His work focuses on contractual and IP matters, including brand collaborations, talent agreements and enforcement of online content rights.
