Federico has accrued wide-ranging experience advising businesses in dispute resolution both in and out of court and before arbitration tribunals; his practice mainly relates to international disputes.

He is the Head of the Italian Dispute Resolution team and a member of the International Arbitration Group of Osborne Clarke, which handles international multi-jurisdictional arbitration proceedings. His legal expertise includes all types of corporate and commercial disputes with a particular focus on those involving foreign parties. Federico always dedicates special attention to the procedural strategy.

Federico advises on corporate matters predominantly in relation to disputes involving shareholders, corporate management and supervisory bodies. He has considerable experience in disputes relates to restructuring and insolvency procedures. He also has niche experience in litigation related to financial intermediaries and insurance matters, and with reference to the role of fiduciaries. 

Federico has considerable experience in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations (under the International Court of Arbitration (ICC), London Court of Arbitration (LCA) and Milan Chamber of Arbitration (CAM) rules) also acting as an arbitrator.

He is a key member of the Italian focus group on third party litigation funding, a practice that is only just taking its first steps within the Italian market but which offers great potential for the firm’s litigation and arbitration clients. Federico has been consistently ranked by Chambers&Partners and Legal500. In  2023 his ranking in Chambers & Partners Global for Dispute Resolution was reconfirmed.

Federico is admitted to appear before the Italian Supreme Court.

Advising the client and its majority shareholder on arbitration proceedings brought by them before the International Chamber of Arbitration in Milan against an international investment fund. The arbitration concerns a dispute related to the dismissal of a manager, a share option and its related fair market value. The arbitration is in English with the application of the international rules on the examination of witnesses.

Unieco Soc. Coop.

Representing the liquidator of Unieco Soc. Coop., one of the most important cooperative companies in Italy which was placed in compulsory liquidation in 2017, in connection with opposition proceedings filed by multiple creditors, including proceedings brought by 16 creditor banks totaling over Euro 470 million.

Hanes Group

Acting for two companies in the Hanes Group, a leading retailer of sports and fashion clothing, in proceedings brought by companies of the German ECE Group, a retail operator, concerning the termination of contracts for the lease of premises.

S.A. Minera Catalano Aragonese (SAMCA)

Representing the client in a claim against the Single Resolution Board (SRB) before the EU General Court under Article 263 TFEU for the annulment of the SRB decision, as part of a class action involving various shareholders.

Advised on the listing of the company shares on the AIM Italia - the alternative capital market organised and and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A.

Luxembourg investment fund manager

Successful in defending litigation with claim value in excess of €14 million relating to unit linked insurance policies.
