Robin Eyben is a venture capital and M&A lawyer. He advises technology-driven investors, founders and companies ranging from early-stage start-ups to large corporations on complex corporate transactions, venture capital financing rounds, convertible loans, venture debt, strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, mergers, and exits.
Having advised clients from the U.S., Asia and Europe in hundreds of transactions, Robin has gained deep experience in structuring, negotiating and executing complex matters. He has extensive knowledge of the latest venture capital and M&A deal terms and market trends as well as insight into the challenges that startups and growth companies often face during scaling and expansion.
Robin regularly shares his experience and knowledge as speaker on industry events, conferences and workshops. He has published various articles on M&A, venture capital and venture debt.
Before joining Osborne Clarke, Robin practiced law in other large international law firms in Munich, New York and Berlin. He studied law and economics in Berlin, Washington D.C., Rome, Aix-en-Provence and Ghent.
Robin was awarded as the best lawyer for venture capital in Berlin by Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers in 2022. In addition, Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers rank him as one of the best lawyers for M&A and corporate law in Germany. Robin is further recognised as often recommended for M&A and venture capital in the legal directories Legal500 and JUVE.
