Osborne Clarke has advised LivEye, a specialist in guarding temporary risk zones with mobile video surveillance systems, on the sale of a majority stake to NORD Holding Small Cap.

Around 850 video towers, 24/7 alarm centres, more than 50 employees: The LivEye Group, based in Föhren, Rhineland-Palatinate, is a leading provider in the field of surveillance and, in addition to mobile video surveillance solutions, also provides its more than 200 customers with camera systems for documentation purposes, surveillance systems for early fire detection, sensor technology and software for the surveillance of risk zones. In particular, the monitoring of large outdoor areas, such as construction sites, solar and wind parks, commercial areas or event spaces is part of its portfolio of services.

The acquisition of a majority shareholding as part of an owner-buy-out by NORD Holding Small Cap from Frankfurt is intended to further consolidate the market position of the LivEye Group and accelerate its dynamic growth. Together with the private equity company, which has been operating a dedicated small cap fund since 2022 with a target volume of EUR 125 million, LivEye intends to develop additional digital use cases based on the technology used. The management team with Carsten Simons and founder Marc Thurn will remain involved and will continue to manage the group operationally in the future.

The NORD Holding Small Cap team has a lot of experience in supporting digital, scalable growth companies. We can benefit from this and continue our successful growth course with a strong partner.

Carsten Simons
