Osborne Clarke has advised investor G2 Venture Partners on its follow-on investment in Hamburg-based CleanTech company 1KOMMA5° as part of a EUR 70 million Series C financing round.
Founded in 2021 and led by co-founder and former head of Tesla Germany Philipp Schröder, the company offers photovoltaic systems, electricity storage systems, heat pumps and charging infrastructure through a single provider. Through its stakes in skilled trades businesses, 1KOMMA5° combines on-site installation with the digital integration of energy systems via its proprietary platform, "Heartbeat AI".
The new financing round is led by b2venture. Japanese cleantech investor Marunouchi Innovation Partners is joining as a new investor. Alongside G2 Venture Partners, existing investors CalSTRS, eCapital and Eurazeo are also participating. According to the company, the round was oversubscribed. The pre-money valuation has risen to USD 1.35 billion, 35 per cent above the level of the last financing round in July 2025.
1KOMMA5° intends to invest the new capital primarily in the further development of Heartbeat AI. According to the company, the platform already aggregates more than one gigawatt of controllable flexibility capacity across five markets. The company operates in seven markets in total and employs around 3,000 people.
Osborne Clarke previously advised G2 Venture Partners on 1KOMMA5°’s Series B funding round in 2023. With that financing, the company achieved unicorn status just 23 months after its founding.
The Osborne Clarke team comprised Dr Jana Bertus, Maximilian Vocke, Dr Benjamin Monheim (all Corporate / Transactions), Dr Karen Frehmel-Kück (Corporate / SE) and Ann-Kristin Lochmann (Tax).
