Osborne Clarke advises GoHenry ahead of Barclays acquisition

Published on 19 October 2026

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised long‑standing client GoHenry, a UK money app helping 6-18-year olds learn to earn, save, spend and invest, on regulatory matters connected with the sale of GoHenry’s UK business to Barclays Bank UK PLC by Acorns Grow Incorporated.

GoHenry is one of the most recognised brands in the UK youth money management market. It has helped over two million young people build money skills through its app‑based and hands-on tools for earning, saving, and spending.

Osborne Clarke provided GoHenry with key regulatory advice in the lead‑up to completion.

Clear regulatory advice plays an important role in preparing major financial services transactions for completion. We were pleased to support GoHenry as it prepares for the next stage of its growth with Barclays UK. This mandate shows how our fintech and financial services teams work with clients on the matters that are important to them and their customers.
