Published on 26th June 2026

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders of Green Frog Connect on the sale of the company to the Hanab Group, a Dutch company focused on sustainable and digital solutions in energy and utility, connectivity, and building installation services.

Green Frog Connect is a specialist independent connections provider (ICP) operating in the UK energy sector. It designs, builds, and connects renewable energy infrastructure to the national electricity grid.

The deal highlights strong international investor interest in UK grid infrastructure and specialist renewable energy construction, and underscores Osborne Clarke's role in advising on complex, strategic mandates within the energy and energy transition sector. We expect to see continued M&A activity in this space as the energy transition accelerates and the need for grid investment grows, and our team is well-placed to help clients capture these opportunities.
