Sue is an Associate Director in our real estate disputes team.

She advises on contentious real estate matters and has particular expertise in residential property disputes work. Her clients include institutional investors, international and high-street banks, property companies and house-builders. Sue is a member of the Institute of Residential Property Management and advises on pure residential investments as well as mixed-use schemes and complex residential landlord and tenant disputes.

She deals with a wide range of issues arising from high-value land disputes, including security of tenure, succession rights, easement and boundary disputes, adverse possession, contentious management issues, rights of pre-emption under Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, leasehold enfranchisement, and has extensive experience of mortgage and residential possession claims.

Advised a joint venture company on the acquisition, conversion and disposal of a substantial mixed use London development; particularly advising on statutory consultation requirements under S20 Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and tenant’s pre-emption rights to acquire the landlord interest
