Dr Flemming Moos

Dr Flemming Moos is specialised in data protection and IT law and has spent many years advising national and international companies from the technology industry as well as their customers.
The Juve Handbook of Law Firms 2014 once more named him as one of the “leading names in data protection” and lists him as a “frequently recommended lawyer”. In Who’s Who Legal Germany 2014, he is listed as one of the “leading practitioners” in the area of information technology. In the Handelsblatt ranking for 2013, he is named as one of “Germany’s Best Lawyers” in the area of information technology.
Flemming advises his clients on the entire range of data protection law. For example, on structuring international data flow, designing and implementing data protection audits and IT compliance projects. He also focuses on designing and negotiating all kinds of contracts related to data protection. He is also regularly involved in outsourcing projects, large IT projects and IT law disputes. His practice includes providing IT law advice for start-ups.
Flemming is a recognised arbitrator at the Hamburg arbitration board for IT disputes as well as a well-known expert on IT law products at the Independent Regional Centre for Data Protection in Schleswig-Holstein. He is the author of the reference book “Datenschutzrecht – schnell erfasst”, the publisher of the handbook “Datennutzungs- und Datenschutzverträge” and co-publisher of many leading commentaries on data protection law. He is also the author of numerous essays and specialist articles on data protection law.
He regularly reports at meetings and conferences on diverse data protection law topics.
Flemming qualified as a lawyer in 2001. Before joining Osborne Clarke at the start of 2014, he worked at other international law firms, most recently as a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright.
