Osborne Clarke advises Energreen Trading on enspired’s entry into Italy: approx. 1 GW BESS pipeline

Enspired, Europe’s leading optimizer of battery energy storage systems (BESS), has entered the Italian market through a strategic collaboration with Energreen Trading, an energy trading company controlled by Energie S.p.A., which has over 30 years of experience in the development, operation, and production of renewable energy assets across Italy.

As enspired’s Italian partner, Energreen Trading provides the local market access, regulatory expertise, and operational understanding that underpins the partnership’s pipeline of projects. The partnership is backed by a 962 MW project pipeline, with several hundred megawatts of projects set to progress toward commissioning over the next 12 to 24 months, and will enable battery asset owners to capture value across multiple revenue streams with transparency and confidence,  also thanks to the AI-powered, cross-market trading platform that enspired is bringing to the Italian market for the first time.

Osborne Clarke advised Energreen Trading at all stages of the execution of the partnership agreement with enspired, from the drafting and negotiation of the contractual documentation through to closing, and also provided advice on the relevant Italian energy regulatory framework. The firm acted with a multi-jurisdictional team led by partner Giorgio Telarico, supported by trainee Vincenzo Maria De Caprio, in Italy, and by partner Anna von Bremen, supported by associate Philipp Lührmann, in Germany.
