Osborne Clarke has provided legal advice to Swiss Post Ventures on its participation in the extended seed financing round of Munich-based HR tech company heycare, with a total volume of around EUR 4 million.

heycare offers a digital platform for holistic employee assistance programmes (EAP) and family services, which helps companies to improve the balance between work and private life and to reduce absences. Via the heycare app, care services are arranged for children, relatives in need of care and pets, complemented by training sessions, webinars and anonymous one-to-one counselling with psychologists to strengthen mental health. Since early 2026, heycare has also integrated a sports and wellness network in order to provide employees with a comprehensive health ecosystem from a single source. heycare’s clients already include well-known companies such as Daimler Truck, Douglas, Vaillant and VW Retail.

The seed financing round was led by Scalehouse Capital as lead investor, with Swiss Post Ventures participating as co-investor alongside other investors. The new funding is to be used for further strengthening the teams and scaling the platform in existing and new markets. heycare was founded in 2022 by Anna Schneider and Julia Kahle and has since developed from a specialised care provider into a profitable, holistic health service provider in the area of employee benefits.

“By taking a stake in heycare, Swiss Post is investing in an innovative HR tech company that addresses key challenges of the modern world of work – from reconciling professional and private life through to the mental and physical health of employees,” says Maximilian Vocke, Partner at Osborne Clarke. “The transaction demonstrates how strategic corporate venture investors are specifically investing in digital platforms that create demonstrable added value for employers and employees and at the same time offer high scaling potential in the European employee benefits market.”

Comprehensive advice on corporate and contractual aspects of the investment

Osborne Clarke provided Swiss Post Ventures with comprehensive advice on the corporate and contractual aspects of the seed financing round. The advice covered, among other things, structuring the investment, negotiating the financing documentation and coordinating with the other investors in the extended seed round.

The Osborne Clarke team advising Swiss Post Ventures was led by Maximilian Vocke (Corporate / VC) and consisted of Alexander Schlicht (Employment), Dr Robert Oppenheim, Niklas Georg Rönker (both Banking & Capital Markets), Dr Florian Eisenmenger, Dr Robin Mühlenbeck (both IT), Dr Jonas Völkel (IP) and Laura Valeske (Legal Project Management).
