Niklas advises national and international companies such as banks and start-ups on capital markets and financial regulatory issues. He focuses on regulatory advice on banking, financial services, investment products and payments with regard to digital transformation through distributed ledger technologies (DLT). This includes blockchain projects, as well as alternative investments, investment funds and crowdfunding models.
He also assists clients in obtaining licenses from financial authorities in regulated sectors.
Niklas studied “Political Science and Law” (B.A.) and Law in Münster. During his legal traineeship, he clerked at a European law firm in Düsseldorf and at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Before joining Osborne Clarke, Niklas worked in litigation, with a focus on financial and banking disputes, at an international law firm in Berlin.
Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world
With an academic background in European public law and practical experience in banking and financial litigation, I want to bridge the gap between regulators and the financial sector and translate supervisory regulation into clear steps that work for our clients.
Whether it’s licensing, product structuring or engagement with supervisory authorities, I aim to create a constructive dialogue so that clients can move quickly and confidently in a fast-evolving environment.
