A former executive at one of the world’s leading blue chip companies shared his experiences at Osborne Clarke's mental health event.

Geoff McDonald, former global vice president of Unilever, spoke at the “Finding Your Courage” webinar, held during Mental Health Awareness Week.

Geoff shared his personal story of the events that led up to him being diagnosed with burnout and depression, and how he subsequently improved his mental health.

The event was hosted and introduced by Greg Leyshon, partner and head of the business transactions group at Osborne Clarke, who shared his own experiences of dealing with mental ill health.

"I've not suffered personally with mental health, but I've certainly been affected by issues in both my family and with colleagues.  That's why it's so important that we normalise conversations around mental health and empower our people to have the courage to talk about the issues within their teams.  It was a real pleasure to have Geoff join us – his presentation was inspirational and we can all take on board his practical yet powerful tips to improve and protect our mental health," said Greg.
