Osborne Clark advises Delian Alliance Industries on $14m Series A investment

Published on 18th August 2025

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised innovative defence tech company Delian Alliance Industries on securing $14 million Series A funding.

Co-founded in 2021 by former Apple special projects engineer Dimitrios Kottas, Athens-based Delian Alliance Industries is developing autonomous weapons and defence systems, including aerial and sea-based drone and surveillance towers. Manufacturing its own hardware, software and sensor fusion systems allows Delian to move more quickly than its established competitors, using cutting-edge technology to provide a cheaper, more flexible solution to the world’s rapidly changing defence needs.

The investment round, led by the DeepTech focussed Air Street Capital and Greece-based Marathon Venture Capital, will allow Delian to expand internationally and pursue its aim of challenging incumbent defence “primes” such as Airbus and BAE Systems.

The Osborne Clarke team advising on this transaction was led by Partner Mathias Loertscher and Senior Associate Uday Mehra from the firm's corporate team, with support from Courtney Cox.

"We're grateful to Osborne Clarke for their excellent work. They helped us to move quickly while ensuring our team, and our investors, were clearly updated at each stage of the process. They've ensured we have a strong foundation for our future growth."

Dimitrios Kottas, Founder of Delian Alliance Industries and Matthew Wright, Head of Delian UK.

"We are proud to have supported the innovative Delian Alliance Industries on its latest round of investment. Delian provides nations with affordable, flexible solutions to their most urgent problems. We look forward to seeing how this investment helps Delian expand and further excel in the market.”
