Edward is a transactional lawyer specialising in Rail, transport and new mobility solutions.
He leads the firm's Mobility group, advising investors, operators and public authorities on complex procurements. His practice focuses on strategic contracting, particularly rolling stock projects, as well as electric vehicles and the deployment of new technology. He is also closely involved in developing the firm's use of Artificial Intelligence to provide legal services.
Recent experience includes advising a leading rolling stock owning group on the re-leasing of a core fleet and the supporting maintenance solution; a transport operator on the procurement of a fleet of amphibious electric vehicles; as specialist transport counsel to a private equity group on the acquisition of a major international rail and bus operator; and on the ongoing expansion of the contactless ticketing zone around London.
