Christoph focuses his advice on matters of M & A transactions and selected areas of national and international commercial law in the Energy & Utilities and Health Care Life Sciences Sectors.
His clients are benefitting from his long-term experience gained in numerous international M & A transaction work and as General Counsel of an international trade, production, and logistics company group.
Being focused on Energy & Utilities Christoph advises regularly investors, banks, project developers and operators in planning, construction, financing and on transactions of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Besides his experience in drafting and negotiating supply, maintenance and service agreements as well as engineering, procurement and construction agreements he has achieved numerous successful closings of transactions driven by his special expertise on transaction work in projects.
Further, Christoph enforces his Health Care and Life Sciences clients’ claims in national and international arbitration proceedings as well as ordinary court procedures with a particular view to commodity trades and related logistic arrangements. In this context Christoph support his clients on export control regulations, sanctions and import regulations.
Christoph studied in Bielefeld, Bristol, and Leipzig. He started his career as a lawyer in 2003. After postings with PwC Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft and as General Counsel of an international group, he joined Osborne Clarke as a partner in 2012.
He is a member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (Member of Regional Committee Hamburg), Logistik Initiative e.V., Hamburg Arbitration Circle e.V. and author of numerous publications. Christoph is an arbitrator for the German Association of Wholesale Traders in Oils, Fats, and Oil Raw Products (GROFOR) and the Grain Traders Association in Hamburg.
Osborne Clarke was awarded JUVE law firm of the year for use of Sales, Commerce and Logistics in 2017.
