Casper is an attorney-at-law (senior associate) in The Built Environment team.

He primarily focusses on transactions such as acquisitions and disposals of offices (portfolios), shopping centres, residential portfolios and development sites / projects. Because of his knowledge of both civil law as public (spatial) law, he is capable of reaching the best possible result for the most complex transactions and development projects in an efficient manner. Casper has successfully handled numerous acquisitions and advises on sale and purchase transactions, exploitation, renovation as well as development of real estate. The client base Casper acts for consists mainly of investors, building companies and real estate developers.

Casper attended the University of Groningen and was admitted to the Dutch Bar Association in February 2013. Before joining Osborne Clarke he started his career at a specialized law firm active in the real estate sector gaining a broad expertise and in-depth knowledge in real estate and property law.

A particular field Casper is active in, is the sustainability of existing real estate and the application of innovative and sustainable techniques in new developments. In the past few years, he advised on the legal aspects of amongst other things thermal energy storage systems (WKO), energy performance requirements and the development of solar parks and solar roofs. Also he was involved in 'smart city' initiatives and state-of-the-art industrial projects.

Casper has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
– Real Estate law

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
