Published on 25 September 2026
Osborne Clarke has advised the management shareholders of Dalcour Maclaren Limited (DM), a leading utilities and infrastructure consultancy, on a significant growth investment from MML Capital. The transaction marks the start of the next phase of DM’s expansion across the UK and Ireland.
MML’s investment follows a period of strong organic growth for DM and will support the continued development of its people‑focused model, including the consultancy’s apprenticeship and graduate schemes. It will also enable DM to broaden its service offering, expand its geographic reach and further invest in technology and data, including exploring practical ways to use AI and automation to improve how its teams deliver for clients. The partnership is expected to underpin selective acquisitions that enhance DM’s capabilities in strategically important utilities and infrastructure projects.
This deal further strengthens Osborne Clarke’s reputation for guiding founders and management teams through private equity investments in the infrastructure and business services sectors. It draws on the firm’s integrated expertise across corporate, tax and human capital, and reinforces Osborne Clarke’s role as a trusted adviser on complex management sales to private equity in the utilities and infrastructure market.
DM plays a crucial role in enabling major water, energy, transport and digital infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland, and this investment from MML will help the business accelerate its growth while continuing to innovate for its clients. The transaction reflects the strength of DM’s platform and the quality of its leadership team, and has enabled the management shareholders to secure a partnership that aligns with their long‑term ambitions. The team have been a delight to work with and we all wish them and MML every success in the future.
