International legal practice Osborne Clarke continues to invest in its international growth strategy by increasing its presence in the United States.
The firm aims to reinforce relationships with companies based in North America who are looking to expand globally. With offices across Europe and Asia and a vast international network, the firm is the ideal partner for US companies looking for support with their international legal needs.
Building upon its success in the US to date, Osborne Clarke is investing in New York City by launching its first permanently staffed office today appointing new leadership and building a supporting team in the market.
Following more than nine years of experience leading the firm’s West Coast operations from Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices, Steve Wilson has moved to Manhattan to head up the East Coast operations from New York City. Steve will focus on building the firm’s practice in the region and manage a permanent team on the ground to further support US companies on their international legal needs.

The Manhattan market, and particularly Silicon Alley, is a major strategic focus for the firm for targeting high growth businesses both in our sweet spot of tech, media and comms but also through our other sector expertise” said Steve.
“Our team will continue to support leading US companies on all aspects of their overseas expansion and growth in Europe and Asia –from employment, licensing, privacy, disputes, and transactions or initial launch in a new market via our EU in a Box packages. We will also continue to advise exclusively on laws outside the US and co-counsel with our US law firm preferred partners.”
Since opening its first US offices in Silicon Valley and San Francisco in 2000, Osborne Clarke has supported over 600 companies with their expansion and growth into overseas markets. The firm represents the most exciting start-up companies as well as many of the world’s leading technology companies based on the US West Coast e.g. Facebook and GoPro.
