Osborne Clarke has advised the electric scooter sharing start-up Emmy on its financing round in the low double-digit million range. The previous funding round was around 2.5 years ago.

The group is led by the Munich investment company BonVenture. IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft and other German and international family offices have also increased their shares as existing investors.

Among other things, the purchase of 1,500 new scooters is planned with the fresh capital so that the fleet will be increased to around 3,000 scooters. The start-up is active in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin. Emmy's business model works in a similar way to car sharing, only the start-up relies exclusively on electric scooters. According to its own information, the Berlin company has around 300,000 customers, an increase of around 50,000 over the previous year.

The Osborne Clarke team under the leadership of Till-Manuel Saur (Corporate / VC) consisted of Robin Eyben and Philipp Niedermeyer (both Corporate / VC), Christoph Boeminghaus, Dr. Stephan Carduck and Gunnar Jommersbach (all Commercial), Felix Hilgert (IT), Benjamin Schaum (IP) and Dr. Daniel Walter (Finance).
