International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised SES-imagotag on the IP and IT-related aspects of the investment in Findbox GmbH. The funding will kick-off a partnership between the two companies to collaborate on R&D efforts, global supply chain capabilities and, ultimately, accelerate the technology start-up’s development.

SES-imagotag, a specialist in digital in-store solutions and world leader in electronic shelf labelling systems, is listed on the Euronext exchange. Over the next three years, SES-imagotag will acquire 100% of Findbox.

Findbox GmbH specialises in the development, production and sale of flashing electronic price tags and image recognition solutions. Founded in 2012, the company has experienced strong market traction with installations in over 200 stores across multiple large retailers in Germany, UK, France and the USA.

The Osborne Clarke team that advised on the acquisition was led by Cologne-based IT Partner Konstantin Ewald who was assisted by Dr Johannes Ballestrem (IP law).
