Osborne Clarke advises Maury Imprimeur on the disposal of its brownfield site in Le Malesherbois (65,000 sq m) to German group Garbe for the development of a Data Centre

Osborne Clarke has advised the Maury Imprimeur group on the disposal of its former industrial printing site located in Le Malesherbois (Loiret), on the outskirts of the Île-de-France region, to the benefit of Garbe Industrial Real Estate.

The industrial site in Le Malesherbois, conveniently located near the A6, A19, A10 and A11 motorways, and covering an area of almost 65,000 sq m, is intended to be converted into a Data Centre. The site will undergo a comprehensive modernisation in order to be repositioned for logistics-type use, with the ambition of creating a sustainable asset that meets high environmental standards, incorporating criteria relating to energy efficiency and space optimisation, while limiting its environmental footprint.

Osborne Clarke’s assistance covered multiple aspects of both real estate law and environmental law, given that the site had historically hosted numerous activities subject to the regime applicable to installations classified for the protection of the environment (ICPE), in connection with Maury Imprimeur’s industrial operations.

Maury Imprimeur was advised by Osborne Clarke’s Real Estate team, with Stéphane Catays (Partner and lead on the transaction) and Alexandra Alaurent (Associate), and by the Environment team, with Joanna Peltzman (Partner) and Juliette Sohm (Associate).
