Osborne Clarke advises GBfoods on the sale of Butterfly and La Ferme d'Anchin to La Linea Verde

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised GBfoods, a major multinational food company headquartered in Spain, on the sale of two of its subsidiaries – Butterfly (Belgium) and La Ferme d'Anchin (France) – to La Linea Verde, an Italian fresh-cut food producer.

Butterfly is the leading fresh soup brand in Belgium, and La Ferme d'Anchin holds the equivalent market-leading position in France. Both brands are characterised by a premium positioning centred on product quality and freshness, and both benefit from established distribution networks with a presence across all major retail operators in their respective markets.

The buyer, La Linea Verde, is an Italian family-owned business, operating in Italy and France, that produces and distributes fresh-cut products.
