Seamus McKimm

Seamus is an Associate Director in the London Corporate team at Osborne Clarke, specialising in M&A and Private Equity transactions. Seamus has over 9 years' experience advising Private Equity investors, selling shareholders, founders and management teams on all aspects of Private Equity buy-outs and M&A transactions.

Seamus regularly works with Private Equity investors such as Queen's Park Equity, Tresmares Capital, Waterland Private Equity, Kester Capital and Mobeus Equity Partners. His clients have described him as a commercial lawyer, capable of understanding his clients' needs and priorities, in order to deliver successful outcomes. Seamus' commercial approach and his ability to build strong working relationships with his clients is central to the service that he provides.

In addition to advising Private Equity investors, Seamus regularly advises management teams, and selling shareholders on all aspects of private equity and M&A transactions. He has an acute understanding of the Private Equity and M&A markets, which enables him to provide management and selling shareholders alike with commercial advice and guide them through the process.

Seamus recent experience includes advising:

• RJD Partners on the disposal of Babington Business Limited to Unigestion;
• the selling shareholders of First Intuition Limited on the management buyout by Apiary Capital;
• QPE on their investments into Future Deluxe and the subsequent acquisition of Tendril Design; and
• the management teams of NotontheHighStreet and Party City in respect of their respect MBOs by Great Hill Partners and Endless respectively.

Whilst Seamus advises on a range of sectors including EdTech, Financial Services, Business Services and Tech, Seamus has a particular focus on Life Sciences & Healthcare, having previously advised the management team of Torbay Pharmaceuticals on the investment by NorthEdge, Kester Capital on their investment into MAP Patient Access and the management team of BMI Healthcare on the MBO by Circle Health.

In addition, to his Corporate capabilities, Seamus leads the Warrant team as Osborne Clarke, providing advice to venture and growth lending clients such as HSBC Innovation Bank (previously known as Silicon Valley Bank), Columbia Lake Partners and Wuessen Lending.

In his spare time, having hung-up his rugby boots for less painful hobbies, Seamus is an avid runner, cyclist and golfer, and loves nothing more than watching live sport (particularly rugby).
