Matt is a Partner at Osborne Clarke and the UK Head of our Energy and Utilities Sector.
Matt has been involved in the energy sector for more than a decade, advising cleantech start-ups and venture/private equity investors, energy infrastructure investors, pension funds, corporates and utilities on a range of corporate transactions including raising institutional and project finance, operational M&A, the acquisition and disposal of generation, energy form waste and storage assets, joint ventures and development agreements. He also advises utility clients on transactional and strategic matters relating to the management of their asset portfolios. He has particular expertise in renewable energy generation and storage transactions and financings and his clients include Foresight Group, ENGIE, RWE, Oxford Photovoltaics, Armstrong Capital and Oxford Capital.
Matt joined OC in 1997 as a trainee and is UK Head of the Energy & Utilities practice.
Advised on the acquisition of numerous large-scale solar farms including advice on planning, property, construction, O&M, grid connection, accreditation and power off take issues.
