Greg is a Senior Associate in Osborne Clarke’s Reading office. He advises on a range of commercial matters, with a focus on technology, media, advertising, data protection and regulatory compliance.

Greg has experience advising on a broad range of commercial contract matters in a number of sectors, including distribution, agency, technology (including SaaS, cloud and managed services), supply of goods / services, outsourcing and sponsorship.

In relation to data protection, Greg advises on general compliance as well as providing advice in connection with the issues involved in commercialisation of data, direct marketing, contractual arrangements for data processing, cross border data transfers, data security / breach management and documentation (including records of processing, privacy policies and data protection impact assessments).

Greg also advises on a range of regulatory compliance issues, with a particular interest in the food and drinks industry. This often includes advising on issues in connection with consumer protection, prize promotions, e-commerce (such as B2C terms and conditions), advertising, copy clearance and labelling.

My work with clients in the food and drink sector has helped businesses to innovate by implementing technological solutions to increase brand awareness and drive sales at a time when digital presence is vital for brands to succeed in an increasingly competitive market.

Recent career highlights include advising a pub company on the implementation of an accountancy platform and advising on the data protection aspects of the implementation of an online healthcare service in the UK.

Before joining Osborne Clarke in 2021, Greg spent a year on secondment as UK Legal Counsel for a major drinks manufacturer. During this time Greg advised on a number of projects including the launch of an e-commerce sales platform and high profile sponsorship and supply deals for major sports events and festivals.
