As part of Osborne Clarke's international employment team Emma is experienced at supporting both UK and global businesses with their employment advice needs. She has particular experience working closely with fast growth and house-hold name technology businesses, advising on a broad spectrum of employment and HR issues, as well as the employment aspects of corporate transactions.

Emma undertook an extended secondment to OC's offices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley where she worked extensively with US and international companies to provide in time zone advice on UK employment law and global expansion matters. Since her return to the UK, she continues to work alongside Osborne Clarke colleagues and local counsel in relation to cross-border projects and international employment law issues.

Emma advises on both contentious and non-contentious matters including employment agreements and policies, diversity initiatives and discrimination, disciplinary and grievance issues, terminations and exits, settlement agreements, performance management, Tribunal claims, TUPE and contractual matters.

Emma is listed as a 'Rising Star' in the Legal 500. She qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined Osborne Clarke in 2014 before relocating to the US on secondment in 2017 (although she is now back working in the UK).

Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world

"I have a keen interest in digitalisation and how this interacts with the world of work, including issues around the use of workplace AI, bias and discrimination and future of work concepts more broadly.

I also lead the Employment team's work with Osborne Clarke Solutions, looking at how we use technology to underpin the advice and services we provide to clients."
