David is one of the Partners of our Corporate team in Barcelona. He specializes in corporate transactions, private equity, venture capital and financing, in most cases, with an international component. He is ranked by Chambers Europe and Best Lawyers as a leading lawyer in Spain.

He usually acts for foreign corporations and investors operating in Spain and has wide experience in international M&A, where he usually works along with other offices of Osborne Clarke International and US law firms. He also acts for US and European venture capital funds investing in Spanish startups, mainly in the technology and healthcare industries. He is closely connected with the Barcelona entrepreneurial and venture capital community and is a lecturer at several publicly and privately funded programs for local startups across the IT, cleantech and healthtech sectors.

David is fluent in English and Spanish and was educated at the University of Navarra, graduating with a law degree in 1996, then as LLM in 1998 from IE Business School. David is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association, International Bar Association and American Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Spanish Private Equity and Venture Capital Institute (Instituto de Capital Riesgo), Barcelona Tech City (private association engaged in the promotion of Barcelona as a technology and digital cluster in the South of Europe) and the Professional Council of ESADE’s Law School.
