The amendment to the Act on spatial planning and zoning introduces a number of challenges for investors. The amendment implemented new types of planning instruments (e.g. general plans, integrated investment plans) and thoroughly changes the rules for obtaining the zoning decisions. The changes covered by the amendment have been spread over time - municipalities shall adopt general plans until the end of 2025. Awareness of the introduced amendments and the rights and obligations arising therefrom offers the opportunity for more effective and safer implementation of the planned investments or in progress, as well as for planning and implementing new investments in the future.
