Osborne Clarke advises Alchera Technologies on growth equity fundraising

Published on 15 October 2026

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Alchera Technologies, an AI-powered data platform used by local authorities and highways operators across the UK, on its growth equity fundraising.

The deal demonstrates Osborne Clarke’s expertise in supporting technology scale-ups, combining sector knowledge with corporate advice to help businesses secure investment and accelerate growth.

The British Business Bank’s South West Investment Fund, managed by Maven, invested alongside the Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund and The FSE Group. The funding will support product development and customer deployment. Alchera also secured a further £700,000 in match funding from Innovate UK.

Founded in Cambridge in 2016, Alchera brings together data from sensors, traffic-management systems and other sources to help local authorities and highways operators make faster, better-informed decisions about their road networks.

This is an important milestone for Alchera as we grow and help more transport authorities make better decisions. Osborne Clarke were conscientious and supportive throughout, and brought real energy to the process when we needed it. We’re grateful to have them in our corner - and to use this funding to go further and faster.

Transport operators are sitting on vast amounts of data, yet the tools to turn that data into fast, confident decisions have historically been in short supply. Alchera has a unique platform that delivers measurable real-world impact, from reducing disruption on the M25 to transforming how local authorities allocate investment across their networks
