Osborne Clarke has advised redalpine on the acquisition of Beams Technology GmbH by Comply365.

Beams offers its customers in the aviation industry a powerful AI solution that quickly and efficiently analyses incoming incident and safety reports from pilots and other employees. This allows insights into potential hazards and operational risks in aviation to be gained up to 20 times faster than the conventional method, enabling these to be minimised before they occur.

The company, supported by redalpine, has now been acquired by Comply365, a provider of solutions for operational content management, training management and safety management in the highly regulated industries of aerospace, defence, and rail. With the acquisition, Comply365 aims to expand its product portfolio, strengthen its service offering and grow its global customer base.

Alan Sternberg, CEO of Beams: “Beams has become a world leader in providing AI solutions for aviation safety teams, bringing advanced intelligence to safety and risk data analysis. Joining the Comply365 family opens exciting opportunities for Beams to expand into new areas such as compliance and training management, allowing us to deliver even greater value to the combined company’s customer base.”

The Osborne Clarke team advising redalpine, led by Maximilian Vocke, consisted of Counsel Robert Marx (both Corporate / M&A) and Dr Jens Wrede (Tax).
