Thursday 19 June 2025, the Sedan Commercial Court approved the sell of the assets and businesses of Jacqueson Autocars and Jacqueson Tourisme (Jacqueson Group).
The Jacqueson Group - created in 1930 - is a long-standing player in passenger transport and tourism in Champagne-Ardenne and Aisne, through its subsidiaries Jacqueson Autocars (30 vehicles, 35 drivers and mechanics) and Jacqueson Tourisme (7 agencies located in Reims, Rethel, Epernay, Châlons-en-Champagne, Soissons and Charleville-Mézières and 16 advisors).
The VIC Group (400 vehicles, 800 employees) - created in 2008 - is a major player in upmarket passenger transport throughout France, particularly in Paris and Normandy.
The acquisition of Jacqueson Autocars and Jacqueson Tourisme will enable the VIC Group to strengthen its network of transport routes by drawing on the expertise of a long-established local player. The deal will also enable the VIC Group to expand its fleet of vehicles to better respond to the dynamic passenger transport market.
All 35 jobs at Jacqueson Autocars were safeguarded, as were more than 80% of the jobs at Jacqueson Tourisme.
Osborne Clarke advised VIC with Nassim Ghalimi (partner), Mathilde Rousseau (senior associate) and Matthis Pangrazzi (associate).
Selas Vermue (Stéphane Vermue) was court-appointed administrator, while Selarl Bruno Raulet (Bruno Raulet) was court-appointed creditors representative.
