Osborne Clarke posts record international revenues at EUR 547.5m

During the 2024 calendar year, Osborne Clarke's international revenues grew by 11%, creating five-year growth of 72%. Income during the UK reporting period of May 2024 – April 2025 grew 4% to EUR 547.5m growth.

Osborne Clarke saw continued strong growth in the UK, with revenues increasing by 7% and breaking through the £250m threshold for the first time.

  • The firm continues to see strong growth across all its areas of regulatory expertise as clients continue to face challenges with increased complexity in global regulation. This is evident in strong performances from the Technology, Media and Comms; Financial Services; and Retail and Consumer teams.
  • Osborne Clarke's transactional practice has stood up very well in a challenging market, particularly in PE, M&A and Funds. 
  • The firm's IP group is growing rapidly, fuelled by Patent Litigation and an increased focus on Life Sciences and Technology. This is complementing Osborne Clarke's well-known digital expertise which continues to be in strong demand.

Client highlights

  • High profile panel appointments included an appointment to National Grid's main panel and a reappointment to Taylor Wimpey's panel.
  • Successfully represented (alongside EIP) Texas-based Optis Cellular Technology in a USD 502m IP case against Apple at the UK Court of Appeal. The decision was hailed as an important victory for SEP (Standard Essential Patent) holders.
  • Successfully represented Amgen Limited against a case brought by Alexion which found that Amgen's product did not infringe Alexion’s patent. The Osborne Clarke team won "Europe Impact Case of the Year" at the Managing IP EMEA awards as a result of their work on the case.
  • Advised Warner Brothers Discovery in a cross-border contractual dispute with Econet, relating to the recovery of payment obligations amounting to USD 31.9m.
  • Advised Ecotricity on the Development Consent Order for the Heckington Fen Energy Park – a 500MW solar farm with battery storage
  • Advised iconic British brand Mulberry on a £21.2m fundraising and retail offer
  • Advised consumer loans specialist Abound on an up-to-£800m financing round.
  • Advised global challenger consultancy Elixirr on its admission to the main market with a c.£325m capitalisation.
  • Advised Imperial College spinout Sitfr Bio on its spinout and investment process, which will help improve the precision of ADC cancer therapies.
  • Advised the UK's North Sea Transition Authority in connection with the development of the UK's carbon capture and storage clusters.
  • Advised HSBC on its investment in FINBOURNE Technology as part of one of the UK's largest series B fundraisings.

Responsible Business highlights

  • Net Zero: five-year reduction of 42% in scope 1 & 2 emissions. 16% of partners and 50% of Executive Board members certified carbon literate. Significant improvements in supply chain engagement around net zero.
  • Awarded the Mindful Business Charter Wellbeing Award
  • The OC Pride network was named Network Group of the Year at the British LGBT awards
