Osborne Clarke has advised Amscan International, a portfolio company of Leeds-based private equity investor Endless, on the acquisition of Luftballon-Markt GmbH.

Amscan International is a designer, manufacturer, distributor and retailer of party products and supplies with operations throughout the commercial territories of UK, Europe, Australasia and Asia. Located in Dinslaken, Germany, Luftballon has developed a digital technology for the printing of foil balloons.

This acquisition is the first since the management buy-out of Amscan International and is an important step in the Group’s strategic plan.

The Osborne Clarke team which advised Amscan International, was led by Philip Meichssner (Corporate / M&A) and consisted of Lorenz Chwaszcza, Johanna Baumann, Felix Dörrenbächer and Maria Eder (all Corporate / M&A), Konstantin Sitte and Larissa Mößmer (both IP), Dr. Hendrik Schöttle and Cedric Ludwig (both IT), Dr. Birgit Schmeyer (Commercial), Dr. Thomas Leister and Andre Braig (both Employment) and Florian Merkle (Tax).
