Osborne Clarke acts for Tenora in Macquarie equity investment

Published on 17th October 2025

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has acted for FX technology platform Tenora Financial Group Ltd in relation to an equity investment by Macquarie, the Australia-based global financial services group.

Based in London, Tenora was co-founded in 2025 by Harry Adams, who previously founded Argentex Group. Placing intelligent technology at the heart of foreign exchange (FX) and payments, Tenora is a financial technology company focused on helping corporates and institutions manage FX risk with greater transparency and control, offering tools to make faster, data-driven decisions and strengthen governance across the trade lifecycle.

This significant institutional backing, raised through Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets group, gives Macquarie a strategic stake in the company, with two Macquarie directors joining the Tenora Board.

The Osborne Clarke team was led by associate director Robert Pook and corporate partner Robert Wood, with senior associate Adam Turner and associate Jad Soubra.

“We were delighted to support Tenora in this major initial funding round led by Macquarie. To attract this kind of backing at such an early stage is evidence of Tenora’s compelling offering. Tenora’s disruptive solution for the FX and payments industry is even more crucial in today’s volatile markets, where transparency and control have never been more important. We look forward to seeing it develop.”
