Dr Tim Schultze works in the field of real estate law and advises clients on all matters of public law. His practice focuses on planning and zoning, permitting and environmental law; in addition, he advises on all related public-law issues and assists with the drafting and negotiation of public-law agreements. He supports clients in the context of project developments as well as corporate and real estate transactions and represents them in administrative and court proceedings. A particular focus of his work is on project developments and transactions in the area of renewable energies and energy storage projects.

Tim advises companies from the real estate sector as well as from the renewable energy industry and supports them in securing the planning and permitting aspects of their projects, including site planning, obtaining building and immission control permits and coordinating with specialised authorities. He also advises on corporate and real estate transactions as well as financings, in particular in connection with due diligence, contract drafting and monitoring of contractual obligations where public-law issues – for example from construction, environmental or immission control law – play a role. Another key area of his work is the drafting and negotiation of public-law agreements and the representation of clients in administrative and court proceedings. In addition, he advises on land and use rights in the context of project developments and investments relating to renewable energies.

Tim studied at the University of Greifswald and completed his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg, including placements at the German Embassy in Bangkok and in the real estate law department of a renowned commercial law firm in Hamburg.

Tim has been admitted as a layer with Osborne Clarke since 2021. Since 2025, he has also been a certified specialist lawyer in administrative law.

He is a member of the Hamburg Lawyers’ Association (Hamburgischer Anwaltsverein e.V.).
