Richard provides planning advice on all aspects of residential development and major infrastructure.

Richard regularly acts for the UK’s leading housebuilders and advises on a range of matters including planning obligations, highways and footpath issues and planning appeals/challenges. Areas of particular focus for Richard at the moment are starter homes, affordable housing and the community infrastructure levy (CIL).

Aside from housing, Richard also assists with the delivery of major infrastructure. He has advised on a broad spectrum of projects ranging from airport and stadium development to the construction and operation of solar farms.

Richard joined Osborne Clarke in April 2013 from Wragge & Co (now Gowling WLG), where he specialised in residential development as a real estate lawyer. He qualified in September 2011, having trained at Burges Salmon LLP.
