Olivia is a Partner in the London office and heads up Osborne Clarke's UK employment practice, with 7 Partners and 44 fee earners. She is known for delivering practical, accessible and commercially-minded advice providing clients with clear, no-nonsense guidance that clients can act on with confidence.
With over 25 years' experience advising employers and senior executives, Olivia has an in-depth understanding of the full range of contentious and non-contentious issues that arise across the employment life cycle. She also leads a specialist sub-team focused on 'GDPR for HR', providing expert advice and hosting related networking events. The team advises on all data protection matters affecting HR functions, including employee data breaches, employment-related DSARs (for which the firm offers a bespoke service) and employee surveillance and monitoring. Olivia is a sought-after speaker on employment-related privacy issues.
Olivia held the strategic role of International Transformation Lead, leading teams that advise clients on key areas of change (such as AI and the Future of Work) and supporting their adaptation to new ways of working accelerated by COVID and digitalisation. She is a regular speaker at external events on these topics and is widely recognised as a 'go to' adviser in this space. Olivia has also been partner champion for our solicitor apprenticeship scheme for 4 years and oversaw the successful introduction of apprentices into the London office.
A member of the Employment Lawyers' Association, Olivia speaks regularly at events run by City HR, Oracle, Veran Performance, Business Forums International Ltd, the Institute for Turnaround and University College London. She also co-chairs the Financial Services HR & Compliance Network in collaboration with Veran Performance.
In 2023, Olivia was named in The Lawyer Hot 100 for her work shaping Osborne Clarke's legal apprenticeship programme, a list that celebrates the most outstanding, bold and influential lawyers from in-house, private practice and the Bar.
